Soooooo my friend LS from Savin’ It Up and I went to Yuma Arizona for business (we live in California). What a great opportunity to have a girls road trip….. no kids, no husbands, just us, the open road, and our coupon binders. Yep, and we had a BLAST.
Friday…. Business taken care of.
Friday Night…… PAAAAARRRRRRRRRRTTTTAAAAAAAAAYYYYY
Fry’s is a Kroger owned store I first heard about on Extreme Couponing. Never knew I would actually ever go. Glad I did. It was culture shock. Never had I been in a store with so make Blinkie coupon machines or tearpads.
First off, Fry’s has some CRAZY coupon policy where they will MAKE EVERY COUPON WORTH $1 DOLLAR.
- $.25 coupons=$1
- $.30 coupons=$1
- $.50 coupons=$1
- $1 coupons=$1
They do limit 3 like coupons per transaction, but they did not limit the transactions. ( I only had 1 but LS had 3). And the cashiers were VERY coupon friendly, no problems, no attitudes.
As an added bonus, we noticed that we were over charged for Betty Crocker Potatoes, .83 cent per box(6 for me, 4 for LS). We quickly went to the Customer Service desk to rectify this. Well, apparently FRY’S has a Scan Price Guarantee! Your item must scan as advertised. If it doesn’t, and your refund amount is $5 or less, they give you $5 back for your troubles. How awesome was that!!!!
Lastly, we made friends. YAY. We met Devon a couponer who has been couponing for a short while and is very familiar with the staff at Fry’s (always a plus) and her sister-in-law, Julie, a mother of 7 who was couponing for he first time. They were a blast to talk to and we hope to stay in touch with them.
Sorry I didn’t get a chance to take a pic of what i bought, by the time I got back up the elevator, my kids and mom had attacked the bags. Lol. LS posted her haul on Savin’ In Up
